I am still loving my work, even though it stresses me out much of the time. Otherwise much is still the same in my life, day to day, not much seems notable. Scott has been a huge help this spring mowing the grass every week! He so spoils me, I am extremely lucky to have such a great brother and roomie in him.
However, when thinking on events I would like to share I had to make not of a wonderful event I attended with much of my family. On May 12 I got to go and see Celtic Women in concert in SLC at the E Center. Matt and Heather and I actually even did dinner on the way, and had a great chat carpooling together.
I cannot describe how beautiful the music and staging were. I have been to several concerts but this will be on the top of my list for quite some time I am sure. After much sweat and tears (and several hours I wondering if my time should be better spent) I finally figured how to post to YouTube videos here to share. So here it goes, two I really like that show just a smidge of how amazing the show was.
This one is sort of a highlight of the show
This one was written especially for the Celtic Women and is a wonderful example, showing off their vocal ranges and as well Maidred's fiddling.
How did you slip this post in and I missed it? Gah, sorry! I'm very VERY excited to see you writing again! So forgive me if I get a bit too enthusiastic. I'm just happy, promise!
ReplyDeleteThe concert was FANTASTIC! Especially because I got to sit right next to you. It was so fun singing Spanish Lady with you during the encore. *giggles at memory*
"Not much seems notable"? *rolls eyes* Of course, let's not mention the awesome dinners you and Scott have almost every night. Either pre-made delicious frozen dinners you assembled yourself, or equally likely from scratch dinner. "Nothing worth noting", indeed. Good food is always worth talking about! And that's just a start.
What about the new yard upgrades you and Mom have been working so hard to get in? I'm thrilled that you'll have the grape vines along your back fence like you've wanted since you moved in a year ago!
Please give a heads-up how your piano/vocal lessons are going. I'm so proud of you knowing and loving music well enough to teach it!
Or how about what the latest and greatest on playing the Wii? There's enough gamers reading here; and we are eager to know.
And that's just ideas off the top of my head. You, my amazing sister, are busy enough for four people, and there is no lack of what we would be eager to hear about! Love you!!
Holly, you could have emailed me to ask how to put up those videos.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to see Celtic Woman! Alas, time and money yet again rip joys from my fingertips... URGH! BUT I so much enjoyed Star Trek that it totally makes up for it. So glad you had a gret time! Awesome videos. :)
Alicia- You asked for it...expect to see future posts on your ideas. :) It was so fun because I was with my fam. Thanks for enjoying the experience with me.
ReplyDeleteMichelle-It was so great to see ya at Star Trek, and never give up hope you may win tickets to see them next time they are in town!
As for you other comment...ask for help? That would have been the easy and intelligent thing to do so of course I didn't even ask anyone but Scott...lol...but I may tape your knowledge next time I have a problem. I am sure you know lots more than me about blogging.
