I nearly had a panic attack today trying to dry my hair....but maybe I should go back a few days...
On Tuesday morning I met Alyse and Aryn in Provo and put myself into Mandy's very capable hands. Or rather my hair into her hands anyway...

And just in case you didn't know; yes, my hair really was getting to the point where I was nearly sitting on it and after shutting it in my car door last week due to wind, well you get the point...

so there is now 17 inches (I just remeasured to make sure it really is that much...yikes)
waiting to be shipped off to "locks of love" where I know they will put it to great use...
Thanks to several hours of pampering and her wonderful hard work

Mandy gave me a great new A-Line cut...

Thanks again Alyse for being my moral support and documenting all this for me. I truly am a bit light headed from the weight loss and from the emotions...but overall I am very glad I got it cut.

The hair cut is so good that suit your face and you are looking so pretty and charming...
ReplyDeleteLove the new cut! My hair and I are having a bit of a tiff lately, but I'm not angry enough with it to cut it off...yet. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt looks AMAZING on you, Holly! I'm currently growing my hair out for Locks of Love. It'll be awhile before I cut it. Now I'm all antsy to do it! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAww your welcome dear! I know it can be hard to cut your hair off. I did it once just before I met Shawn and I didn't even donate it. YIKES was that a scary thing for me!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful on you, and you seem so much lighter and happier now.
I love it, and I love you! Congrats on getting the courage for the new doo! Your amazing!
It's so cute! I love it! My hair used to be that long, and it's definitely different without all that weight.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute cut! Holy cow--17 inches! How long since you cut it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the encouragement...
ReplyDeleteBecky-I know all about hair tiffs...lol
Michelle-It is a great feeling to know that by getting your hair cut you are also helping others. Can't wait to see what you do.
Alyse-Your encouragement and recommendation of Mandy were fabulous!
Jasmine-the weight is definately a different feeling.
Kirsten-Last time I cut it was in 2005. So about 4 years, give or take a few months. So it was definately time. And the 17 inches were donations...in the back it was about 24+ inches off...was weird still.
The haircut is way cute! I want to get mine cut but apparently, I'm not allowed... or so I've been told. Following directions is highly overrated though!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of you to do locks of love, it would take me like 20 years to grow my hair that long...maybe never.
ReplyDeleteI like the new hair cut!
I told you months ago that I thought you looked great, but I think I'll tell you again: You look great! ;->
ReplyDeleteYou are an inspiration to me, how even in something as simple as getting a hair cut you are thinking of how to make it meaningful by giving to Locks Of Love.
Hope your new hair has settled so that you are enjoying a period free of headaches or lightheadedness caused by its weight!
You look cute as can be!
